The Core of Honor: H

Where Is Your Seriousness

"No one will or should take your stuff more serious than you!" This idea is one of the Gye-Nyame Journey's keys to success. When we "hone in"on our purpose we develop a seriousness that becomes contagious. Everyone around us catches the seriousness in which we carry our ideas, projects, property, goals, and etc.. Either they joins us in that view or disappear from our lives. Many of us are not willing to get serious enough to chase the fake people out of our lives. This is why many people remain stuck where they are. Fake people weigh you down and prevent you from climbing to the top. In fact they help you come up with excuses that you use to justify why you are stuck, and also gives you permission not to be "so uptight". You begin to believe that you can make it to the top without being serious. You learn to be cool, and in fact nothing seems to get you excited, you lack a sense of urgency. Your serious demeanor has been replaced with a cool exterior, and because you no longer take anything serious, nothing serious ever happens for you.
I have noticed that the people who enter the Tribe without the fire of seriousness, also known as enthusiasm usually either fall off when it is time for the work to be done, or conveniently finds a reason  and a place to hide. We all have these type of people in our lives. They are hanging on to you or to your organization just in case it is successful, rather than being real and letting you go.
These fakes rob you of your power, as they suck up your time and efforts. They lie to you, boost your ego, and feed you garbage to keep you still. Because your success is a glowing flame that points out their personal failures.
Those individuals that are NationBuilders, TribeBuilders, and/or FamilyBuilders are unusual, in a society that is based on independence, and consumption. You cast a light into a dark world that many have been programmed to smother. That is why that it is of paramount importance that you begin to take the things that you do serious. That you move through this world with a sense of urgency. That you share your ideas, and not worry about arguing your points with people who do nothing but argue. There are many traps laid out for those special people, and often the people involved with the traps don't even realize that they are carrying out someone else's agenda.
In Gye-Nyame we call these individuals warriors, they look at the world differently. They have not given in to the programming that has been forced on the majority. They are natural fighters, but lack the training and the stamina to keep moving on the battlefield of life, unless they plug into their purpose and a tribe that can help them stay focused. Many of you who are taking the time to read this article may be warriors in action, or even warriors who fell injured on the battlefield. Either way "warrior" it is time to rise, find your purpose, get energized and build.  Your people are in a dire state, and they need people who are energized by purpose. People who take their work serious. people who understand that "something great, must be sacrificed for something greater".
