Full Time Required Great Kujichagulia: Once again I greet you on this Kujichagulia within the 4th cycle of the year of 2022 in the week of Kujichagulia. Man o Man have I been getting insights on the other side of my fast. For those that don't know, the 21 day challenge is structured like a pyramid, and the beginning is a hard and steep climb, but once we hit the peak and start to descend we begin to get insights. This works like this for more than just the fast. Anything that you choose to use the #21DayNguzoSabaChallenge for will do the same. Just make it past the peak and you will see. "Once again I greet you on this Kujichagulia within the 4th cycle of the year of 2022 in the week of Umoja." The thought today was being full time. Family in order for us to become free we have to start building in time for us to work on our private projects. At the beginning regardless of what you are working on it will be hard, but if we stay determined we will be able to do it. We ha

You Better Define Your Purpose & Yo Name Great Kujichagulia:   In this week of purpose we are going to focus on you finding you. I mean the real “You” and what you were born to do. At least strive to get you to begin to ask the question of why you choose to manifest in this day and time. The key word that I am using is choose. I need you to assume that your being here today is not an accident. Nia is the principle that speaks of purpose. So let's assume that there is a higher purpose to your existence. If we are a generational people and we return, then there is a specific reason that we came back to this world. When we identify this reason we now have our why, and this is empowering. If we eliminate the idea of being a victim of chemistry between our parents, and apply the idea that we came here by choice it enables us to look at other possibilities in life. This thought alone can help us move through hard times because it means that we are divine and many of the trials are

7 Ways To Use Kujichagulia To Keep Your Eyes On The Prize (Sample)

Image
Whether you are a professional athlete, a student or someone who wants to lose weight, the goal remains the same. You want to accomplish your desired outcome. Many of us set goals but fail to keep them on target. The reason is we are easily distracted. Our primary focus needs to be on the prize and by that I mean the outcome that we desire. I have found in my experience as an athlete that having a personal coach is extremely valuable and it is also something that I do with clients from time to time. But even when you have a coach it can be easy to lose sight of your intended achievement. This occurs for several reasons, but most of all it is because you become complacent at times and can get wrapped up in other activities and responsibilities. When setting your goals, write them down and put them someplce where you will see them everyday. Write out exactly what it is that you want to achieve then break it down into smaller tasks that will help you reach your intended outcome. Make su

Daily Toast- Kujichagulia 328171 ( redefine the story)

Peace FAM Here we go, another great day and a new filming technique that I have been working on. Hope you like the effect. Now to redefining the our story. On this day of Kujichagulia we are given the gift of re- framing our experience in this country. We can stick with the old story, but we have to ask the question, has it helped us. If the story is not helping us in our goals of rising in this country then we need to step back and re-frame them. I have been struggling with this for a long time, because our story maybe limiting us. Along with the studies on PTSD, and PTSS we also need to identify and look at those studies of individual and groups who have developed PTG (Post traumatic growth). There are studies on individuals who have been through traumatic incidents and have grown dramatically because of the incident. They have learned to draw strength from their trauma that has catapulted them into a new frame. They appear to prosper inspite of what they have been through, and I

Daily Toast- Kujichagulia 221171 (To much of a good thing)

This was my first session with my new phone, and it is unbelievable. I mean it is so good the camera is great, the speakers are outstanding. I have 64 gigs to use plus another 64 gigs on the sd card. So now i'm ready to go, or so you would think. My camera is to good, it picks up all the light, and makes all the videos at least from the selfie side look shadowy, so I cut off lights, and my black self disappear. I guess you can have to much of a good thing. I'm not complaining on this glorious day of Kuji (this days nickname). Kuji and myself have a real great relationship. Kuji has helped me mold myself into who I am and will help me get to where I am going. She will do the same for you. In a prior conversation I spoke with you about setting up small steps/goals to build your faith. Now let's use the same process for Kuji. A short term goal is to push myslef into a split before the summer. A small goal that has been a life time challenge. I figure if I can get my old body

Give Yourself Permission Listeners

Image
I would like to welcome all of my new listeners, thank you for joining the Journey. Together we will explore the world, better ourselves, and accomplish our goals. When I first started #giveyourselfpermission I did not expect to build up a network so quickly. I stress the word network because that is what we have become. Daily you tune in and give me the blessing of your time, the gift of your listening ear and I just open my mouth and pray that what comes out will help, and inspire who ever tunes in. This show is yours and by investing your time you create the content. I have decided to throw another hash-tag out to mark our territory, #asmilethenamile. This hash-tag is how we will be able to share our progress on the Journey with each other. I encourage each listener to begin your own program of personal mastery. I chose to meditate for at least 10 minutes which brings a smile to my face, and then I hit my mile run which takes me about 10 minutes. These small steps are my personal wa

Professionalism Vs. Mastery

Image
Are you a professional or a master? At first glance they may appear to be the same but when we look at their roots and motivation they are not. When we take a look at the word "professional" it is a person who practice a skill for a  livelihood .  A "Master" on the other hand is someone who pursues a passion, and develops a great skill  in what they do. Today the problem is that we have to many "pros" and not enough "Masters". A Professional can be driven by purely financial gain. They may not have a love for the art that they practice, they do it because it pays the bills. They may have been forced into their  field by life circumstances, they may have showed some natural skill, or just following a family tradition. The key  ingredient of a "Master" is missing, the love of the art. It is the love that  separates  the Master from the professional  . It is the love of the "Master" that generates advancement in his or her craf

The True Believer

Image
"Remember that Great Minds talk about Ideas and Solutions, Good Minds talk about events, but Suckas talk about people. Which category do you fit in" Brother ha2tim I just was blessed today with a gift. This gift is rare in this day and time, at least for me. It was a conversation about ideas. The talk started out as a 5 minute checkin but was transformed into a 2 hour tour de force of ideas. The central theme was success within an organization and in life. The one point that kept coming out was being able to become and develope true believers. Wiithout belief all things fall apart. When we look at all succesful organizations and people we see at the core a belief that holds the people and the individual on course. Belief is the one thing that seperate the great and the not so great. Those who as individual or as an organization that are succesful are those who practice a belief in themselves and/or a goal. This belief sustains them in the hungry seasons of life, and gives

I am a Hip-Hop Philospha

Image
I am  a Hip-Hop Philosopha and Spiritualist this means that I have a unique way of seeing the world, and the way it runs. I have the pleasure of being part of a culture that does not mind borrowing. In Hip-Hop we have always borrowed the best and created something greater. You can see it in the fashion world, in art, dance, and music just to name a few areas of life where this culture as been a big influence. Growing up in this culture and developing the mindstate that goes with it, has opened many doors for me, and has created what you are reading today. In philosophy, and spirituality I have only done what my culture has guided me to do. Just like the DJ who would mix the old with the older and create something new, I did the same. When I developed Gye-Nyame and all of the other organizations before that I was motivated and inspired by the vibe of creating something useful from old ignored elements, and changing the world. Like that DJ I was able to look at the gospel differently

Why Meditate?

Image
I breath in and out/ slowly and with a rhythm/ mind begins to clear/ Meditation is a process of learning to measure our thoughts. In measuring them and observing them we learn how to quite or mind so that we can find peace. According to the lessons in Gye-Nyame when we are asked "what is peace?" The proper response is Harmony and Order. So by practicing meditation those on the Journey bring Harmony and Order into: 1. Into there inner world 2. Into their day life Being on the Journey regardless of what system you follow requires you to be able to draw on a source of power beyond your physical being, and meditation helps with this. It helps align you with the "True Self". According to the SelfMastery system that we use in Gye-Nyame the Self is defined as: " the absolute, complete, perfect qualities of being that is not influenced by external circumstances" meditation is a major way to commune with this part of our being. When we cultivate peac
