Prolonged Fasting - Daily Toast Umoja 529171

Image
Peace FAM: Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, we jump into the world of prolonged fasting. I must say that I am amazed. I knew about fasting, but as far as the renewing of the body, and the immune system I am shocked and this will definately be adding this to my regiment. Accord to the small amount of research we have conducted the only things that you really need to maintain a healthy life is proper breathing, water, fasting, and proper food (check out the African Heritage Diet I will be doing another video on it soon) I also unveiled another Ginseg root  that has been sitting undisturbed for 8 days in "That Ambrosia", and I must admit that it is good. It has a nice earthy, slightly woody taste, it is a bit on the bitter side, but very drinkable, and I am going to be rolling this out soon. This kind will only be availible in half, and whole gallons, this willonly be availible with pre-orders. Let me know if you are interested

Intermittent Fasting - Daily Toast Imani 528171

Image
Peace FAM: As usual we start off with the toast that goes on for a while, because I go into one of my rants about the importance of entrepreneurship in our community. I took time to salute my sister Ayisha for her creation of Almillikah Hair & Body Butter  (visit her site for more info). I have been saying that one of the major businesses that we need to take over in our communities is the "Ash business", there is no other group that uses as much lotion as we do and we need to stop purchasing these types of products from others. we need to turn this product into an engine for economic growth. If we just capture this one industry we would possibly create hundreds if not thousands of jobs, create trade relationships with African countries, and have money circulating in our community. We must remember that money is the blood of a community. As long as the blood is flowing in the body (community), the body is healthy, but if for some reason blood begin to flow rapidly out

Music & Culture - Daily Toast Kuumba 527171

Image
Peace FAM: We once again talk about culture, at the beginning I was joined by my girls, but they soon abandoned ship for a movie. This left me the space to have some adult conversation with y'all. We are neglecting the power of culture and the tools of culture, and we will not be able to march very much further in this highly competitive, and race based world if we don't start learning the lessons, and building for our future. Music is such a powerful tool that we have allowed to be hijacked. I recently was at a talent show, and the young people sang, and danced, but all of the songs that my (our) children chose were from white artist. All the songs were about pushing beyond limits and inspirational. I had to laugh because I could not think of any age appropriate songs by a Black artist that my kids could sing that fit that model. We have allowed our culture to be pimped, and turned into a weapon against us. I for one will not stand for it. We have radio stations in our com

Daily Toast- Nia 526171 "Cold Showers"

Image
Peace FAM: On this episode after we complete the toast, we talk about the power of a cold shower, and how it can help you reach some of your health goals. Although most of us only think about cold water as the knob in the bathroom that is only used to cool down the the hot water for our showers. Cold water has many healing benefits, and is a energizer. most importantly it helps our lymphatic system get rid of some the poisons that our piling up in our bodies. Being healthy is not expensive, and breathing exercises and the use of cold water prove this. Take the plunge and feel the benefits yourself. Tune in and let me know what you think. Peace

Daily Toast- Ujamaa 525171 "The Spook Who Sat By The Door"

Image
Peace FAM: I apologize for being behind. Today I didn't have to go to work, and I laid down and been chillin all of this Nia day. On Ujamaa I was moved to do an Old School movie review on a film that I believe does not get the credit it deserve. The Spook is not only a classic but a one of a kind tale that should be firmly posted in every revolutionaries heart. This is movie that introduce us to the idea of struggle, and the possibility of victory if we stick to our principles and training. When I first heard about this movie from my elders I went on the hunt for it, and it took years for me to find it. When I finally got my hands on it, I could not believe what I was seeing. The link to the movie is on the YouTube video, and I look forward to having a discussion about the film after you have taken the the time to see it. Let's Build!!!!

The Lymphatic System 2

Image
Peace FAM: This subject was so important I felt that I needed to add more time to it. All of the information that I am running into I am throwing out to you to do with as you will. Take some time review, think about and begin to make changes to improve your life. As my ancient ancestors would say, "Physician heal thyself", we are living in a time where we have access to so much information, that anyone that is not taking advantage is truly choosing to be sick. The lymphatic system is in need of your help, and we will explore how to assist it further tomorrow.

Daily Toast- The Lymphatic System

Image
Peace FAM: We are looking at the lymphatic system, and we are learning about what this system does for our body and how important it is. I am totally blown away by this information. I never knew that this system existed or what it was responsible for. Please tune in and let's learn together. The craziest part about this system is that it needs you to be in action in order to move the fluid. In the lifestyle that we are currently living, we spend a lot of time in unnatural positions, eating unnatural food, drinking unnatural liquids, and breathing unnaturally. All of these things contribute to why many of us are sick. The challenge is for us is to learn about our body and begin to use our shell (bodies) as the tool in which we express our greatness in this life. Checkout the video and feel free to add any information that I am missing, or may have gotten wrong. I want to make sure my FAM is properly informed.

Daily Toast- Ujamaa 518171 "The wasted resource of Black Manhood & Black Womanhood

Image
Peace FAM: Wasted resources are killing our community. Especially resources that we have control over. I am going to hit on some sensitive ideas in this article and the video so I need to warn you advance. I woke up and started thinking about the role of gender in a culture, and asked why were they important. Gender roles were established to help bring order in the culture. Each individual was assigned roles at birth, as well as from the community. These roles helped to advance the society. The interaction between the genders produced the life that enabled the culture to exist as well as the community that adhered to the role. Now in these days and times these roles have been allowed to slip into each other forming whole other groups of individuals. Now where you stand on this is your business, and is not part of my discussion, but it is something that I felt that I need to cover. We as Africans in America, also known as Black folks are in no position to be arguing about these gend

I'm Moving!!!! Be sure to come visit

Image
That's right I'm packing up some of my content and moving over to the BlaqSpot . Finally I have a spot made for us by us, and I am going to take full advantage. I'm planning to run adds, and introduce new products over there as well. Of course I will keep my territory out here, but I will be doing some real Culture Building on safe ground. Hopefully many of you will come and visit so that you can get some exclusive stuff. I wonder how many people over there will be willing to take the 21 Day Nguzo Saba Challenge . I thought about building a network but the amount of work and skill it would take to get something like that working and keep it working was beyond me. So I salute the brothers and sisters that spearheaded this project. Now here is where I'm going to loose many of you, BlaqSpot  is not free. Now listen before you take your eyes off  the page, If we want to build we have to pay. Freedom has never been free, nor can it be handed to you. Freedom has to be bought

Daily Toast- Ujima 517171 "The Paradox of the collective"

Image
"There is no healthy person without a healthy collective, and there is no healthy collective without healthy persons." Great Ujima FAM: I hope yesterday was productive for you, right now I am sitting in Ujamaa reflecting back. Their are many things that i wished that I would have covered but I think the basic idea rings through. Family we have to begin to rebuild and embrace our culture. I state rebuild because we can't just grab some ancient information put it together and strap faith on it and feel we will be able to compete. A culture prepares an individual to compete and succeed. Right now I believe that we are following a cultural program that leads us to failure. This cultural paradigm that we follow miss informs us about the past, muddy up the present, and leaves us hoping for a great future. All of these elements are within our power to change, as well as rebuilding our culture. I created this video to discuss this issue, I hope you will check it out and let

Daily Toast- Umoja 515171 "Rhythmic Breath"

Image
Peace family we take the breathing practice to another level by looking at the idea of the ryhtmic breath. This technique stretch us much farther as we reach for our goal. The best part of all is that the breathis totally free.

Daily Toast - Nia "Nitric Oxide Part 2" NO

Image
Peace FAM: Great Nia, right now I am actually in Kuumba just making sure that my readers get access to my video. I had to start blogging a day behind because it was taking a toil on me. Today I share how to release more Nitric Oxide into your system. Tune in and learn to release this powerful compound in your life.

A Day Late But A Must See- Daily Toast- Ujima 510171 "Hey Dude You Not Breathing Right"

Image
Peace, Power, & Joy FAM: I greet you in the name of Ujima, even though it is no longer Ujima. I feel that this video is a must see. In it I demonstrate the Complete Breath, and talk about the effects it can have on the "5" (IMESP). Family if you don't do anything but learn some of the breathing exercises that I will be sharing with you over the next few days, you will be able to take control of your health. Most people over look the power of the breath, but here at GNJ we don't. As a matter of fact we start with it. Today we hit the basics of nose breathing, and I demonstrate the complete and the cleansing breath. If you add nothing but these two breaths to your SelfMastery tool box you will be head and shoulders above most. The fact is that most people breath wrong which contributes to a lot of the ailments that are prevalent today. Diet is important, and water is more important, but breath is King. You can eat right, drink the purest of water, but if you are

Daily Toast- Kujichagulia 59171 "Mouth Breathing is killing you"

Image
Peace FAM: I am running into some powerful information about the power of the breath. I have been dealing with the concept of axe' in the breath for a long time, but now I have found scientific proof of the power of the breath, and even more importantly how the breath is taken in the body. My friends and family it has finally been proven that breathing through the nose is the best way to breath, but it has also been shown to help an individual over come or better control obesity, impotence in life as well as erectiel dysfunction, diabetes, insomnia, anxiety, depression,      cardiovascular issues, GI disorders, and etc.. Proper Nostril breathing  helps strengthen  the immune system. This is a simple process that each of us can do to take control of our health. Proper breathing is powerful enough to move you toward health. There is absolutely no reason  why anyone can not take advantage of this. It is free, it is relaxing, and it can get you high, what more do you need. For tho

Daily Toast- 58171 "Benefits Of Steaming"

Image
Peace FAM: Great Umoja, let's take some time and talk about the power of steaming and how you can use it in your life to get healthier, and to make cooking easier. i personally cook everything in it. As a matter of fact I made my kids some eggs in it this morning. Of course they were hard boiled, but I have made omellets as well as poached. I cook my rice, quinoa, and etc.. I also take care of my fish in this contraption. My favorite thing to prepare though is beans, man I can prepare some beans in less than 2 hours and if they are soaked even sooner. By adding some extra water and vegitables I can make it a soup. The best part about the steamer is that I can warm up my veggies, and not kill or wash away the health benefits. So those of you taking that 21 Day Nguzo Saba Challenge  go to a thrift store or find one of your friends who love buying gadgets and only use them for a few times, and get it from their. I just want to stress that you do not have to go out and buy and bran

Daily Toast- Kuumba 56171 "The Impossible Dream- Gye-Nyame Complex" UPDATE

Image
Peace FAM: Had to post rapidly and had no time to type a short intro, as I usually do. I had to take a trip to my birth place with my mother to receive her star on the South Ranger's Walk of Fame. After completing the journey I came home and went to sleep. I hope that you had the opportunity to check the video, and got the core of the message. I am not just talking about buying some property for making money. I am talking about purchasing property to grow a culture. Culture is like a plant, in that it requires soil to sprout. Our culture has been forced into a position of exisiting like wild plants. Wild plants pop up where they can, and if they pop up in someone elses yard, or garden (culture) they are immediately poisened or pulled up. This is why we need to purchase the land for our culture to sprout up, and grow strong. In that way we can cultivate it and increase the qualities that we need and get rid of the qualities that are undesirable. I believe that communities

Daily Toast- Nia 55171 "The Tao Of Ignorance"

Image
Peace FAM: Great Nia, and welcome to GNJ. I was excited about this video, it came together in a dream. I began to question the idea of ignorance, and the role it plays in the life of my people. After reflecting I began to notice the role it plays in my own personal development. I have been held back because of my ignorance, or my ability to ignore. As a people we have been well trained in the art of ignoring. Ignorance when I think about it is an art, and has been perfected by certain segments of our family. Checkout the video, join the 21 Day Nguzo Saba Challenge , and be on the lookout for GNJ's 21 week warrior training click the link to stay in the loop.

Daily Toast- Ujamaa 54171 "Unproductive Behaviors"

Image
Peace FAM: SelfMastery is about constantly looking at ourselves, and evaluating what we need , and what we need to change. This is a constant struggle, and it can be painful, but as our ancestor Amos Wilson taught us "It is a child that fears pain". So today I decided to look at the idea of unproductive behaviors. Do you have any?

Daily Toast- Kujichagulia 52171 "The Hood Trap"

Image
Peace FAM: Today we toast the mighty principle of Kujichagulia. So lift your glass and let's call our ancestors home to stand by our side, in this battle for our Culture and eventually our nation. Unfortunately we have no homes to call them to, because many of us are inhabitants of a danger zone called the "hood". Many of us take pride in our ability to exist in miserable conditions, and we have narrowed the Black experience down to hoodism. The ability to define is the power that separates us from the beast of the field, but since we have not snatched this power back from those that would use toward our demise we exist in a unhealthy state. Man through time has been able to rise above his environment, and shape it to his liking. Unfortunately we missed this in our study of culture. We have allowed our enemies to define us and we have let our environment shape. Leaving us with the cancerous idea of the hood. Men through the shaping of environment form villages and comm

Daily Toast- Imani 430171 'Black seed oil & trusting a process"

Image
Peace FAM: It is good to be up, and writing on this great day of Imani. Today we toast the ancestors, go through our regiment, discuss Black seed oil, and trusting a process. This is one of my better videos, so I want ruin it by extra verbiage on the blog. Check it out and get the message.
