Before You Build It Up, Tear It Down: A Call to Conscious Community I was sitting still—thinking. Letting the mind wander across proverbs , ancient texts, and what's happening now. One idea kept circling back like a hawk over fresh prey: “Before something great can be built, it must first be broken down.” You’ll find echoes of this in the Tao Te Ching , in Proverbs , and in the ancestral wisdom of Africa . “If you want to kill a fool, give them a bag full of money.” That one hit me sideways the first time I heard it. It didn’t say “fight the fool” or “educate the fool”—nope. Just bless them with abundance they ain’t ready for, and the destruction will take care of itself. And I can’t help but see that playing out in real time—in our politics, in our people, in the nation. Daily Toast- Imani 326171 (interview with the Baba)

Great Day FAM It was a busy weekend, and I was blessed to be able to participate as well as share it with you. I have an opportunity to interview the Baba of the Simba/Simsa nation. This is a man who has been a guide and an example for me for the last 30 years. We discuss the power of Imani, as well as a few other things. We also send shots out to another Elder who we on our way to surprise for his birthday. You get to join us for that as well. Sorry for the lack of music, but this video turned out to be a 5 gigabyte event. Every gigbyte was worthg it. so tune in and let me know what you think.

Daily Toast- Imani 312171 (Focused Faith)

Peace FAM; Here is the Vlog from Imani, sorry it is late but it has been up on YouTube all night, just waiting for some eyes to hit it. Yesterday was one of the rare days where I did not have anything to do so me and my kids once again got busy and had a pancake breakfast (Broke my Diet today's in a row, but now I'm back on). I love spending time with these little folks even though it can be challenging at times. I have to always remember that we are generational people, and my goal to help them remember why they are here. Today I try to keep the theme of the week in mind and discuss learning to focus our faith.  I wish you peace hope you enjoy, and feel free to commit. Nuff said Peace & 1hunidyears

Daily Toast- Nia 22417 (Conscious Living)

On Ujima we discussed proverbs from the "African Openings To the Tree Of Life", and the one that gave me the most problems came to life when I reflected on it during Ujamaa. Ujamaa is about harnessing those personal resources so that we can build that life that we want. I want go into it you can listen to some of my past podcast, or checkout some of the videos for Ujamaa to get a grasp of what I mean. While harnessing my resources for another project, the thought of the proverb echoed in my mind. I pushed the thought back and got focused on my present project. But the proverb kept coming to the surface like a fisherman's bobber. I could not recall the proverb, but I could remember some key words that kept ringing, prostrate, awaken, suffering, and horizon.
