#NguzoSabaChallenge 7 - A Talk With An Ancestor

#NguzoSabaChallenge 7 - A Talk With An Ancestor   Great Imani: This is the final day of the third cycle of this year. We are in the Imani week and on the day of Imani. I decided to spend the whole week talking about the #NguzoSabaChallenge and we have accomplished the mission. For those that might be new the #NguzoSabaChallenge is a process that you can use to change your life. By plugging into our culture by way of principles, proverbs, and folktales.  I decided to take it easy and experiment. I am now on the seventh day of my fast and feeling good right now. The major test is in front of me, for next week I will only be doing water. So I took my Kuumba day and got creative. I won't go in detail, but I ended up taking something that was supposed to help me find some clarity. I shut down my whole day for this ritual. Woke up, informed my family that I would be unavailable, and then went to my room and took the medicine and waited. I knew that it would take some time so I put on som

#NguzoSabaChallenge 6 - Description of ecourse 1

Great Kuumba: We have made it through this cycle (3rd cycle of 2022) and allow me to share with you what has been born as we struggled through the last 7 weeks. This is the power of Kuumba and aligning ourselves with the 5 parts of being, and sticking to a process. For those who have not noticed I have been posting articles everyday for the last 7 weeks. Each article was highlighting where I was in the cycle, and gave me something to share with the family. All of these articles have been posted up on gyenyamejourney.com as well as accompanied by a show, and I will continue doing this so that we can continue sending out our free eMag each week. I have been sitting on an idea of creating an ecourse for those that wanted to learn more about the system we use in Gye-Nyame Journey. I had to create a system that would help me move toward success and hang on to my culture. All of the motivational speakers and systems that I ran into were pulling me toward a culture-less place. Where everyone&

#NguzoSabaChallenge 5 Great Nia: I have made it to day five of my fast, and we are in the last week of the 3rd cycle in the year of Kuumba. I know that is a mouth full, but for those that are serious about making the change this is one of the keys that we are sharing with you. Being on the day of Nia, we have to surround ourselves with meaning. We have to eliminate accidents, and begin to grasp the knowledge that is around us that can help us build the “Best Life”. I just defined how the time cycle for our challenges work, and I will post up a sample of the calendar so that you can see for yourself. We are very serious here at Gye-Nyame Tribe, we are are her to help you build your and your tribes life, but we have to get you to the point of understanding the power of Nia, and learn to not only define (Kujichagulia), but put a purpose on everything around you. Especially things that you use daily. That is what we  did with conquering the days of the week, the weeks of the year, and the

#NguzoSabaChallenge 4 Great Ujamaa: We have embarked on a journey, and took this Imani week to talk about the #NguzoSabaChallenge, of course staying true to the game and making sure we talk about the principle of the day. Speaking of the principle of the day, we are on the principle of Ujamaa. Ujamaa to us is the green key to the whole system. It was the way that Ujamaa lined up in our system that let us know that the Ancestors were with us. Ujamaa in our system aligns with gratitude, reciprocity and the color green. I would also throw out the hermetic principle that it lines up with but that might be a little overkill. So Let’s look at the spiritual resources that are opened up when we apply ourselves to this system.  "If we apply ourselves to the principles tied to Ujamaa in a revolutionary way and use the resources that are opened up to us, we can build the kind of world that our Ancestors would have wanted for us." In the #NguzoSabaChallenge system we introduce the user

#NguzoSabaChallenge 3 Great Ujima: We are in the week of Imani, the base of the Nguzo Saba, and we have an opportunity to grow like you would not believe. I am also on my third day of my #21DayNguzoSabaChallenge and once again I have decided to fast my way through it. I am fasting for a deeper understanding about our system, myself, and the next steps for our tribe. I will be speaking about what's going on with me as I move through the 21 day process. Right now I am good as I hit these keys and lay down this blog, but on day 8 of the fast I will move directly into water only. Day 11 is the high point of the fast where I begin to ramp down and come back toward eating. That is usually the day where a breakthrough is made. So I will be talking with you all the way through this event. “We are in the week of Imani, the base of the Nguzo Saba, and we have an opportunity to grow like you would not believe.” Now the act of fasting can be looked at as a solitary thing, but it can be used

#NguzoSabaChallenge 2 Great Kujichagulia: We are continuing the discussion today, so to get a better understanding please go back and read part 1 From there we got into the #NguzoSabaChallenge, this came about because I read somewhere that it takes 21 days for you to develop a habit (scientifically it is not true, but it sounds good). I wanted to present folks with a simple system that they could walk themselves through and make the personal changes that they needed in their lives. Plus I wanted to help them establish a connection with their culture. Through my personal use of the Nguzo Saba  I had experienced some of the same success that many people experienced using different systems, but this one allowed me to explore my own culture, and become the best Black man I could be. Not just plug into a system that moved toward the “universal man'' concept that is at its heart attempting to make you into the best servant of west asian capitalist you could be. So the #21DayNguzoSa

#NguzoSabaChallenge 1 Great Umoja: We are in the final week of this cycle. So let me explain how this #NguzoSabaChallenge system works before we get into the Rant. actually it will fit right in with our exploration of Umoja & Imani today. This whole system came out of following the process and as I went through it I logged in to my rants, blogs and discussion with the tribe. Especially with my mindset group, that helped me line it all up and they forced me to ask questions that I never would have really explored before. Oftentimes I get trapped in my own head and it is good for me to talk with others that have taken on the responsibility of this journey so that we can flesh out the idea and apply the system. Please understand that some of the stuff I write about I am not only talking to you I am also talking to myself. The whole piece on Kuumba/Imani was about the importance and power of asking questions, and for the last few months through the mindset I had to do this for myself

Questions, Kuumba, & Imani

Image
Questions, Kuumba, & Imani Great Imani: Kuumba week is at an end and now we must look into the foundation of the Nguzo Saba. We have hit Imani and it is a good place to end all of our discussion. The only issue is that the way that we use the Nguzo Saba in our Self Mastery process, Imani is the first step. In Fact it is Imani that fires up the principle of Kuumba. This is because imani is the fuel cell of the entire system. How do we today discuss Imani through the eyes of Kuumba, our being creative with our faith? “Kuumba Thrives in a home that has Imani.” Being creative requires us to do something that many people today refuse to do, be humble and ask questions. We not only have to master our Kuumba so that we don't have random creation wandering around our life causing destruction, but we have to maintain the stance of a forever student. Good students ask questions, and refuse to act like they know everything. That behavior is built into the brainwashing doctrine received

The Nucleus Of Imani

Image
The Nucleus Of Imani Today we will be talking about the nucleus of Imani. Imani is the base of the system that we talk about in Gye-Nyame Journey. Any principle that is used without Imani will be rendered useless. We have to build up the Imani in the system by practicing it on a regular basis. This means that we have to structure the practice so that Imani flows out of us automatically. Once again we have to begin setting up ways that we can activate this principle even when we are seeking and find our why. “We know that unless the practice is working for you, it's useless. That's why we're taking time today to build Imani into your life.” When we find our Nia it is like being in a dark room blind folded and we have to figure out how to get out to share what we have with the world. In this situation the only thing that can get us out is the Trust (Imani) that we have in our senses. The reason it is setup like this is to test if we are worthy of what we seek. We have to be
