Conservatism, Reaction, and the Elder's Responsibility: A Message to My Age Grade

Image
Conservatism, Reaction, and the Elder's Responsibility: A Message to My Age Grade Great Day, Fam. This one right here? It’s not for everyone. If you’re not at or approaching Eldership—defined in our tribe as about 55 years old and up—you might not feel all of this. But if you’re curious, or if you’re one of those younger souls already walking with wisdom, you’re welcome to keep reading. This message is for the Elders. For those of us who should know better. And yes—I’m including myself. Let’s Start With the Mirror I’ve got to confess something. I’ve been guilty. Guilty of being reactionary. Guilty of falling into the trap of conservatism. Guilty of romanticizing the past. Guilty of looking at our young people and calling them “soft”—as if we were born warriors, as if we didn’t have to become who we are through fire, failure, and guidance. Many of us Elders are stuck in a loop. We remember only the highlights of our youth—the toughest times we survived, the boldest moments ...

Belonging To A Conscious Community (Tribing Up)

Image
Peace FAM: I spend a lot of time thinking about our communtiy, and how to best structure it so that we can build something that is lasting. I truly believe in legacy, and understand that I am responsible for the next 7 generations at least. This is why I get up and do my show, because I am trying to add value to my community and build it. For me this is a lifestyle and as uncomfortable as it can be sometimes I know that it is my responsibilty. I have to reach out and build with like minded folks, as well as battle with some that disagree, but the conversation must be waged. I believe that if we do nothing we are condeming our futre generations to continues servitude to a system that will always put their needs last. We must develop structures that will defend our future, and demand from the powers that be, what is owed to us. We must build instituitons that are for us, and controled by us if not, we will end up as a foot note in history. Human beings are social creatures, and that is...

Daily Toast- Kujichagulia 425171 "Drama cont."

Image
Peace FAM: Once again I am able to stand above the ground  and greet you on this marvelous Kujichagulia. Today we toast our ancestors and continue our talk about drama. Drama in it's self is not a problem, but over dramatazation is the issue. We can not allow anyone to hijack our attention or power, and over drama does that perfectly. It is the tool of the enemy, so watch out. Keep your mind and staymoving toward your goal. We also will begin looking at some herbs and different food you may interested to adding to your personal regiment. Right now, I am working with black seed oil, palm oil, and coconut oil, and of course "That Ambrosia", I will begin talking about these products more and let you know about my personal results. Checkout the video and sign up to get extra content @ Gye-Nyame Journey  and don't forget to take the 21 Day Nguzo Saba Challenge .

Peace FAM: "Greatness is forged in the heart, the heat is provided by the trials and tibulations of your life. It is shaped by the 5 tools of our being, cooled by our mastery of the 6 emotions, and formed into shape by our adherence to the 7 Principles." quote from a future book by ha2tim We are up and toasting those ancestors, I want to send shots out to all those that join me for the feed at 4:15 am est on Facebook. I am trying to let yall know that I am not playing with this. Slowly but surely we will change ourselves and by doing that we will will impact the world. Today I bottled some Ambrosia for one of the daily viewers of the Toast on FB. Those who have already placed their orders for this batch, know that you have not been forgotten. I have some of my best SCOBYs working on it as we speak.
