  Fairweather Friends Introduction Some people will only be your friend when you're doing well. They seem to be there whenever things are going well for you, but the moment something goes wrong in your life they disappear like a thief in the night. These type of friends we call fairweather friends, and I am convinced that having them around can lead to more harm than good. I wanted to share with you some telltale signs of a fairweather friend so that you'll know who is really with you! 1. Your Fairweather friends will disappear when you're going through something difficult. Fairweather friends are people who will disappear when you're going through something difficult. They're not assets, they are liabilities. They won't be there for you when life gets tough.
