The Trap of the Armed Chief

Image
The Trap of the Armed Chief Drop the heavy shield/ When the village stands as one/ Peace becomes our wall. If you have to walk through your own living room, organization, or community with an ox-hide shield strapped to your arm, stop lying to yourself: you don’t have a sanctuary. You have a perimeter breach. We love to romanticize the solitary grind. We praise the brother whose jaw is locked so tight his teeth might crack, convinced that if he drops his guard for two seconds, his family will starve. We crown the sister who absorbs the emotional debt of three generations, smiling through agony while her spirit suffocates. We call it "holding it down." Ancestral wisdom calls it what it actually is: a confession of disorder. “When there is peace in the country, the chief does not carry a shield.” A shield is forged for blood and blade, not fellowship. When you refuse to take off your battle armor around your own people, that shield isn’t proof of leadership—it’s physical eviden...

Unpredictablbe

Life is just simply/
Unpredictable, we just/
need to be present/

Prescence is a easy word to say,but a hard concept to practice. Life throws many different events at us. Sometimes we feel that it is to much and may begin to lose faith in ourselves to be able to handle it. This is the exact moment where we need to be present. We need to be willing to face this confusion that we seem to be assaulted by.
Open your heart, take your actions and be present. This is life exposing you to the furnance of greatness. If you are able to stay present during the heat you will begin to see the impurities that are in you come to the surface and you can choose to allow them to be burned out or you can grasp them as if they are important. We are on this Journey to move toward perfection. This does not mean that we get rid of all the impurities this means that we recognize them and do not let them control our lives.
So let the fire of life's confusion flow over you and let your impurities rise. Get rid of them or hang on to them. The choice is yours but either way know that you have the power to control you.
