Stop Weeping in the Rubble: Sovereign Power and the Art of the Rebuild

Image
The world thrives on your paralysis. Every single day, predatory systems and chaotic circumstances dump a gallon of pitch-black, bitter ink onto your desk. It hands you the grief of systemic violence, personal betrayals, economic gut-punches, and sudden loss. It wants you stuck in a loop of blame, shame, and guilt—paralyzed in a perpetual state of Mad, Sad, or Scared. The Ancestral Algorithm does not tolerate your victimhood. Today we invoke the deep Indigo current of Kujichagulia —Self-Determination. We stand on two immutable truths: The world provides the ink, but you hold the pen , and the ancient Yoruba decree: “Ilé ọba t’ó jóná, ẹwà ló bùsi” —when a king’s palace burns down, the rebuilt palace emerges with greater splendor. Look at our history. On this day in 1963, terror bombed the 16th Street Baptist Church in Birmingham, murdering four innocent little girls. The world handed our people the most agonizing ink humanly imaginable. But our ancestors refused to let terror auth...

Gye-Nyame steam adventures

Image
This Journey involves alot of experimentation, and today I reached in and started experimenting with eating as much steamed food as possible I will be sending photos to the blog so that you can see some of the stuff i have figured out how to cook. I decided to start steaming because i have been reading about the raw food diets out there. I like the flavor of cooked food and decided to try the next best thing steaming my veggies. From what i understand from the research you only loose a little of the nutrients when you expose the food to steam. I will let you know how it goes for me. I will be putting down (the junk food and the black and milds eventually... hahahaaa), I need to get back into fighting shape because I have some new challenges ahead of me. I will keep yall posted. the meal that you see on the screen is a mixture of kale and mustard greens, with onions, a little salt some old bey, and a few herbs that I could find at my mama's house. this was read...

Capoeria a model for new world

Image
Image via Wikipedia Play capoeria/ And with each Roda watch life/ Change before your eyes/ Being blessed to have been involved with capoeria, I have a model of life that works for me. Capoeria is an art that teaches you how to play rather than fight. Don't get me wrong you learn to defend yourself, but the vibe is different from other martial arts. In capoeria you view conflict differently, by you making it a game you are more willing to try new things. In trying new things the art becomes you as you develop your style of play. This feeling , this idea can't help but to come into your regular life. Your life begins to become your roda (ring were we play) and you are constantly in the game. Knowing the rules of the roda or life makes the game more spectacular as you do your moves, and take advantage of what is being given to you. i had to recently look at my life and remeber my training. Some time when life seems to become overwhelming I have to take advantage of the rules ...
