Before You Build It Up, Tear It Down: A Call to Conscious Community I was sitting still—thinking. Letting the mind wander across proverbs , ancient texts, and what's happening now. One idea kept circling back like a hawk over fresh prey: “Before something great can be built, it must first be broken down.” You’ll find echoes of this in the Tao Te Ching , in Proverbs , and in the ancestral wisdom of Africa . “If you want to kill a fool, give them a bag full of money.” That one hit me sideways the first time I heard it. It didn’t say “fight the fool” or “educate the fool”—nope. Just bless them with abundance they ain’t ready for, and the destruction will take care of itself. And I can’t help but see that playing out in real time—in our politics, in our people, in the nation. Meditation Balances the Body's Systems

Image via Wikipedia I happened to be looking up some info about meditatition  for a group that I was doing, and decided to share an article I found. Actually this article started a few days ago when one of my elders sent me a video about transcedental meditation. Since I use some meditation techniques in my classes I decided to share  this information on my blog as well. I have decided that for the next 30 days I will meditate at least twice a day and blog about my experience. I am also challenging all my co authors, and members of  Gye-Nyame to do the same. Science is not only showing the healing properties of meditation on the individual's body, but has also shown that meditation also effects the world around us as well. So if I can get 50 people meditating with me for 30 days twice a day we can change the world. hahahahaa. Seriously I am putting out the challenge to all those on  the Journey, Meditate with me for the next 30 days or how ever many days our left....

The future is fast approaching and it looks like some major choices will have to be made by the human race. Get a glimpse at what is coming down the pike. How will these changes be made? Who will decide? In a world where everyone is super where is the specialness? These are just a few questions that we will have to face when the time comes, or at least those of us who have the money to make them. I can see the day when the backyard geneticist will be giving those in poverty the hook up... hahahahahaaa....check out the video:
