Are you cooking a goat in a lion’s pot? https://www.spreaker.com/episode/the-lion-s-pot-scraping-off-perfection--72019066 We’ve all been there. You have a grand vision—a "Lion" of a purpose—but you try to simmer it alongside your "Goat" fears of what people might think or the terror of getting it wrong. The result? A life that tastes like "just enough" instead of "greatness." Today we are talking about Nia through the eyes of Kuumba . We are tearing down the altar of perfectionism. What if failure wasn't a wall, but a staircase? What if you were allowed to be "bad" at something until you became a master? Are you carrying a load that doesn't belong to you, calling it "community service"?

Today we are sitting in the deep blue energy of Ujima—Collective Work and Responsibility. But here on the porch, we’re flipping the script on what that actually means. Too many of us are walking around exhausted, burning ourselves out trying to be the savior for folks who won't even lift a finger to save themselves. We wrap this exhaustion in the noble cloth of "collective responsibility," but deep down, it’s just guilt and trauma disguised as love.

What happens when you realize that true collective work requires you to stop carrying the whole load? What happens when the best thing you can do for your community is to let go of the people pulling you down? In today's session, we talk about why stepping back is the most powerful move you can make.

Call to Inaction:

To hold water, a cracked vessel must first be emptied of mud. Stop trying to fix everything today. Reflect on this:

  1. What "community" obligation am I holding onto strictly out of guilt?

  2. Who am I enabling by carrying their share of the load?

  3. What happens if I just put the burden down today?
