Shut Your Mouth Until Your Feet Hit Dry Ground

Shut Your Mouth Until Your Feet Hit Dry Ground

We have developed a fatal habit of mistaking loud agitation for actual liberation. We get three strokes out into deep water, catch a whiff of momentum, and immediately start barking threats at the predator whose belly we are swimming across. The Zambian and Somali elders laid down a non-negotiable rule of survival:
“Do not insult the crocodile until you have crossed the river.” Yet every single day, our people take to timelines and street corners, screaming declarations of war against a predatory apparatus that still owns the roof over our heads, the food in our refrigerators, and the water coming out of our pipes. That is not revolution; that is suicidal arrogance.

On this day of Ujamaa—steeped in the restorative, fluid force of water and draped in vibrant green—we must confront the reality that economics is not just buying Black. It is the ruthless, calculated conservation of your life-force energy. The river is the perilous passage between crippling systemic dependence and sovereign self-reliance. The crocodile is the apparatus waiting patiently beneath the surface, feeding on our lack of discipline, emotional volatility, and collective consumer addiction.

The ancient teachers never praised the loud warrior who drowned; they honored the silent strategist who built the shore. All unbalanced passions—pride, unchecked rage, sloth, and frantic fear—are direct poisons to consciousness. When you flash your fangs while your legs are still kicking in hostile currents, you reveal zero mastery over thought and zero mastery over action. You invite destruction before you have laid a single brick of an enduring institution.

Discipline is the conscious preservation of divine power. You do not burn vital oxygen throwing tantrums at an enemy when your body needs every ounce of breath to swim. The way forward only opens to those who master their feet, pool their communal currency, and synchronize their strokes under absolute operational silence.

Stop seeking the cheap dopamine of internet clapping and reckless noise. Lock your eyes on the opposite bank. Keep your mouth shut, move the resources, and build the infrastructure. When our tribe stands firmly on our own land, funding our own schools, and securing our own supply chains, our sovereign presence will speak for itself. That is where we leave behind the frantic terror of Mad, Sad, and Scared to step into unshakeable Peace, Power, and Joy.
