Stop Being the "Bottom Bitch" for Capitalism: Reclaiming Ujima and the Ancestor Algorithm

Let’s stop playing the game by their rules.

We’ve been suckered into a state of survival—scared to look back, terrified of looking forward, and exhausted from grinding in a system that was never designed for us to win. We are living in a capitalist setup that forces us to view our land, our resources, and even our people as expendable widgets.

But today, we are shifting the paradigm. We are moving from fear and anger into raw power, peace, and collective joy. Welcome to the cycle of Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility).

The Master's Setup: A Rigged Game

Capitalism isn’t a neutral economic system. It’s a five-syllable pimp game.

Haiku on Capitalism

Capitalism

Is about pimpin' and hoes

Play, and you will lose

The system requires a baseline of exploitation to function. To make it run efficiently, they put us in uniforms. In sports, you don't need to see a player's face to know who they play for; you just look at the jersey. In this society, race and skin color are the uniforms. It allows the system to instantly identify, target, and structurally keep a specific group at the bottom.

And let’s look at the hard numbers. This isn't about working harder or lacking "soft skills." The system is working exactly as intended. The net worth of a typical white family sits around $184,000, while a typical Black family’s net worth is frozen around $24,000. That 8-to-1 wealth gap isn't a glitch; it's the design.

The most tragic part? Some of us have adapted so well to being at the bottom that we’ve become the "bottom bitch" for capitalism. You know the dynamic: the ride-or-die worker who holds the whole block down, takes all the responsibility, manages the chaos while the pimp is away, and still gets paid in pennies. We hold up corporate structures that drain our mental health, cause chronic disease, and call our creative geniuses "lazy" just because they refuse to clock into a 9-to-5 exploit-fest. Look at my Uncle Bookie—a brilliant musician who could play any instrument he touched, labeled "lazy" by a society that couldn't commodify his soul.

We have to stop bottom bitching for a system that wants to erase our foundation.

Reclaiming the Ancestor Algorithm

When the system cuts your ties to your history, you become an empty slate. They erase your connection to the ancestors so they can shape you into a compliant consumer. But we don't see "dead"—we see ancestors. We see a continuous line of wisdom, and they have the answers to get us out of this mess.

We must operate by a different code.

The Ancestor Algorithm

"When we build together, the foundation is unbreakable."

This algorithm is rooted in a profound Yoruba Proverb:

"Land belongs to a vast family, of which many are ancestors, a few are living, and countless numbers are yet to be born."

Under this lens, ownership changes completely. You don’t "own" the land to exploit it. You are simply the steward. You are the protector of the property, the organization, the books, and the knowledge. You hold it in trust for the ancestors who paid for it in blood, and the unborn children who will inherit your moves.

The Shift to Ujima

We have the technology and the resources right now to ensure every single human being has their basic needs met. A society that leaves its people starving and unhoused isn't "civilized"—it’s savage.

It’s time to lean into Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) and define our own reality. Use collective conversation to build collective knowledge. Stop internalizing the blame for a structural trap. Turn your anger into execution.

Examine your environment today: How is Ujima operating in your life? We don't climb the capitalist ladder alone; we build our own foundation together.
