🍬“Sweet Lies”: How Sugar Is Silently Sabotaging Our Minds and Our Youth In the Gye-Nyame Journey, we constantly talk about reclaiming control of our lives—our thoughts, our time, our energy. But one of the biggest saboteurs of that control might be sitting right in your pantry, masked behind a thousand names. That saboteur is sugar . The Hidden Chains of Sugar Sugar is more than just a sweetener—it's an addictive substance that hijacks the brain’s reward system. Studies have shown that sugar can be more addictive than cocaine in animal tests. It lights up the same neural pathways and leaves the body craving more. When we talk about freedom, health, and liberation, we cannot ignore this powerful substance that’s quietly shaping our moods, our waistlines, and our willpower. Tribal Quotes 18: The Essential You

Introduction

Brother Kwame is coming hard with the shows, listen in and plug into his insight. He is using the "African Openings to The Tree Of Life" for all those that want to go deeper into what he is saying.

Today, we are going to focus on the “essential you” which is the person who is present in all of your thoughts and feelings. You are the person – or being – that makes meaning of your life. You are the one who interprets your world to make sense of it; you are the one who comes up with a creative solution when others may not be able to do so; you are the one who makes beauty in this world by creating it yourself; you are the one who has a purpose for living and loving; you are the one who is aware of what matters in this life and how to find meaning even in suffering or death.

In the past I have talked about the centrality of your inner head as it relates to making meaning in your life. The inner head is also called:

As you know, I like to talk about the inner head as it relates to making meaning in your life. The inner head is also called:

  • spirit

  • mind’s eye

  • the light within

  • the higher self

  • and god in you

“Spirit”

The essential you is the inner head, which is your soul. It’s a higher power that guides you and helps you to have clarity. It’s what gives you purpose, meaning, and direction in life.

“Mind’s eye”

The mind’s eye is our essential selves. It is the space where we develop ourselves and increase our freedom to be more of who we are.

What if you wrote a story in your head about what you want to do, where you want to go, and how you will get there? What if this story became so vivid that it felt as if it were true? If we did this – what would happen? Would our lives change overnight? Would they be easier or harder? How would we feel about ourselves being in that place of fulfillment?

“The light within”

The light within is your inner head.

The light within is your essential self.

The light within is your higher self.

The light within is your secret self.

The light within is your spirit, which you can call god if you want to be more comfortable with that terminology, but it's not really important what you call it—it just exists inside of you and radiates outward from there.

Conclusion

The truth is, you are not just the physical body you see in the mirror; nor are you simply the voice in your head. You are a spirit being who has chosen to incarnate on earth for evolutionary reasons. And if you ask me, we must all work together to ensure that your true identity is not destroyed by the forces of evil.
