The Locked Door with No Key: Why Ohio’s SB 153 Threatens Our Voting Rights Imagine being told you must enter a building to access your rights—to speak, to be counted, to shape the laws that govern your life. The door is locked, and you're told you need a key. But no one will tell you what kind of key you need. Some folks bring house keys. Others arrive with driver’s licenses, birth certificates, even passports. They jiggle them in the lock—nothing works. They aren’t denied because they’re unqualified. They’re denied because the rules changed without explanation. This is the danger behind Ohio’s Senate Bill 153 (SB 153)—a bill that hasn’t passed yet , but is already knocking on our community’s door. What Is SB 153? SB 153 is a proposed law—not yet passed —currently being considered by Ohio’s state legislature. It would require all voters to prove their citizenship before casting a ballot. That may sound fair on the surface—but the bill doesn’t define what “proof of citizenship” ac...

It’s Okay to Be Lost

I’ve always called my job an adventure, and I’m proud of that. I love what I do, even with all its challenges. But more than just my work, life itself is an adventure. And for anyone reading this—whether young or old—let me assure you: it’s okay to be lost.

Being lost is part of the journey. It’s part of the process. Nothing is always going to line up perfectly. Things won’t always go according to plan, and that’s fine. The key is to learn how to be lost without panicking. Learn how to be lost and still keep your mind steady. Learn how to take a breath, be still, and move forward without fear.

Too many of us stress out when we don’t have all the answers. We feel like if we don’t know exactly what’s next, something must be wrong. But that’s not the case. Some of the greatest growth happens in the confusion. Some of the best lessons are learned in the wandering.

Embracing the Unknown

Right now, I’m in a season of my own uncertainty. For a long time, I didn’t want to leave America. But lately, I’ve been seeing things differently. I feel like America has lost me, or at least, it’s no longer where my future is calling me to be.

Comfort can be a trap. It keeps you in place when life is trying to move you forward. But stepping into the unknown—embracing the adventure—forces you to grow. It forces you to find new strengths, new skills, and new paths. In being lost, you find yourself.

And that’s exactly what I intend to do.

Ghana: A New Chapter

For those who don’t know, I’m making a move. I’m heading to Ghana. Not just for a short visit, but

with the intention of finding long-term opportunities. I want to build something there, to create, to explore, and maybe even stay.

I don’t have all the details figured out yet—and that’s the point. I’m willing to get lost enough to find what I’m looking for. Maybe this move will bring me back to podcasting and vlogging. Maybe it will open doors I haven’t even imagined yet. But one thing is for sure: I’m embracing this adventure fully.

So to you, wherever you are in life, remember: It’s okay to be lost. Stay open. Keep moving. Trust the process.

Peace.
