KET.N: “Our Thang,” Our Tribe, Our Responsibility

Image
KET.N: “Our Thang,” Our Tribe, Our Responsibility Great day, Great day, my people! It’s your brother ha2tim, and today I’m bringing you a special reflection—one that digs deep into who we are, what we build, and why we must build together. This article centers around a powerful concept: KET.N , a Kemetic term gifted to our tribe by Brother Kwame Keuchler . KET.N , simply put, means “Our Thang.” Not just something we claim—but something we commit to. Something we shape and something that shapes us. The idea came alive during a conversation about gangster movies—yeah, I love those. One phrase always stood out: “This thing of ours.” And that got me thinking... Because we need that same spirit when it comes to Gye-Nyame. When it comes to Simsa. When it comes to our culture, our children, and our future. We need our own KET.N. KET.N: It Belongs to Us. We Belong to It. KET.N isn’t just a word—it’s a sacred commitment. Our Thang represents a bond with something greater than any individua...

Elon Musk and the Ghosts of Gray Uniforms: Technocracy in the Age of WiFi

Elon Musk and the Ghosts of Gray Uniforms: Technocracy in the Age of WiFi Let’s be real—if Elon Musk’s life came with a subtitle, it might read: "How I Accidentally Fulfilled My Grandfather’s Fascist Fantasies—With WiFi." Sounds dramatic? Maybe. But peel back the tech-billionaire gloss, and what’s revealed is a lineage not just of wealth or ambition—but of ideology. This isn’t fiction. It’s history. And it matters. Thanks to a revealing interview on Democracy Now! with journalist Chris McGreal, we got the kind of ancestral origin story most billionaires hope you’ll never hear. McGreal, a seasoned reporter with deep knowledge of apartheid-era South Africa, laid it bare: Elon’s legacy isn’t just electric cars and Martian dreams—it’s colonial echoes rebranded for the digital age. 🕰 Let’s Rewind: Grandpa Had Plans Elon Musk’s grandfather, Joshua Haldeman, wasn’t your average adventurous chiropractor. He was the head of Canada’s branch of Technocracy Incorporated —a fringe...

Principles Ain’t Protection: Why Black America Must Rethink Loyalty in a Rising Dictatorship

Image
Principles Ain’t Protection: Why Black America Must Rethink Loyalty in a Rising Dictatorship Family, we need to talk. Something's shifting beneath our feet, and if we don't stop milling around in a dream, our children will be the ones left to wake up in a nightmare. Let’s stop sugarcoating it: America might have already crossed the threshold—from a quasi-democracy to a full-fledged dictatorship. I’m not trying to be hyperbolic, but when truth feels more like a whisper and power moves unchecked, what else can you call it? And here’s the kicker: for Black folks, this so-called “American experiment” never really prioritized us in the first place. We Gotta Get Specific About Our Struggle One of the biggest mistakes we’ve made—and continue to make—is assuming that everyone operates by our principles. We've been extending kindness, fairness, justice… to people who don't respect or reflect those values back. That’s why I push for specificity. Let’s call anti-Blackness w...

Seize Your Destiny: Shattering the Illusion of Waiting

Image
Seize Your Destiny: Shattering the Illusion of Waiting Stop Waiting Greetings, Family! Brother ha2tim here, inviting you on a transformative journey from the shadows of anticipation to the light of action. This narrative is a clarion call to all who have been caught in the snare of waiting for that 'perfect moment' or the 'right opportunity' to manifest. Let's unravel the fallacy of waiting and illuminate the path to empowerment, self-determination, and cultural resonance. The idea of waiting for a miraculous change is a seductive illusion that hampers our growth and dims the brilliance of our potential. Here's how we can break free and step into our power: The Myth of the Perfect Moment: Understand that waiting for the perfect moment often leads to missed opportunities. The perfect time is now, in the actions we take and the decisions we make. Self-Selection is Key: Embrace the concept of choosing yourself. The world is waiting for your light, but first, yo...

Dedication is not just a word—it's an action. And that's what we're all about. The concept of dedication stems from the idea that you have to be devoted to an idea, cause, or person for it to be successful. It goes beyond just saying something; it's repeated action which builds upon itself. It's dedication that has made the world what it is today. Dedication is a defining feature of a tribe, and it can also be a defining feature of your life. In fact, the two are often directly related. The tribe that you choose to dedicate yourself to can have a direct impact on your life, giving you purpose and meaning in it. The "Self" in Kujichagulia

Image
In our culture, the self is a powerful being. Kujichagulia or self-determination is that power of the self. The power to control one's destiny and create one's own path in life without fear or guilt. To be able to live freely in your own skin without the fear of being controlled by other people's opinions, judgments or expectations. The self is the ultimate being and as such, it should not be oppressed. It is the most perfect aspect of being and as such, nothing can be greater than it. Our oppressors want us to believe that they are larger than life and that they are in control of our destinies. They want us to believe that we are powerless, unworthy and incapable of making decisions for ourselves. They want to control our minds so that we become followers instead of leaders, but this does not have to be so. Follow Listen to "Kujichagulia Toast - The "Self" in Kujichagulia" on Spreaker.
