The Art of Adaptation: Unveiling the Wisdom of The Bat and The Weasels

The Art of Adaptation: Unveiling the Wisdom of The Bat and The Weasels “It is wise to turn circumstances to good account.” — Aesop In the world of fables, we often find animals acting out the deepest parts of our humanity. These creatures, symbols of instinct and survival, carry lessons older than time itself. The Bat and The Weasels , retold from the mind of Aesop and reimagined through the lens of Gye-Nyame Journey, isn’t just a tale for children—it’s a guide for those grown folks who still seek mastery. When the World Has You Cornered Here’s the setup: A bat falls to the ground and is caught by a weasel. The weasel hates birds. So the bat, slick with the tongue, says, “I’m not a bird—I’m a mouse.” The weasel lets him go. Later, the same bat falls again. This time, a different weasel catches him. But this weasel hates mice. So what does the bat say? “I’m not a mouse—I’m a bird.” And he gets set free again. Now, you could say the bat was being dishonest. But hold on. Let’s go de...

My Reflection

After reading this blog by  +Seth Godin   I had to reflect on what Respect truly means. I love to look into words and get back to their roots. As  a matter of fact, I make it a habit. I believe that you can only grasp the true meaning of a word when you go back to where it comes from. i guess this is a lesson that I learned from the Book called  "Openings To The African Tree of Life by Erskine Peters" in it their is a proverb that states "in the original name is the essence". For me this has become a mantra that a say and put into action. By practicing the wisdom that lies in that proverb it has helped me make sense of words that I and others around me would just throw around. I began to realize that I was using words simply on feeling and not really understanding the true meaning. That brings me back to the word Respect, which the blog (at least to me ) is talking about. The word Respect is composed of to smaller words:  Re- which means again Spect- which me...

New Tool In Revolution - Meet Gumroad

Image
Finally business/ that is done on internet/ that makes sense and fair/ I like to introduce those on the Journey to Gumroad.com . I was lucky enough to run into this site from a post by one of my internet heroes (Seth Godin). Finally I am seeing ideas that make the internet a truly level playing field. With Gumroad you can sell things directly to your followers and friends. No big institution in-between taking a cut from your labor.I personally sell books off of amazon, and they take almost 50% of what I make. This gives an artist like myself no choice but to raise my price. But with Gumroad on charging .25 cents per purchase now I and other artist can bring our price down so that people who may want to try our product would be more willing to do so.  For me this has revolutionized the game, and now I'm jumping into the heart of it. Because this site allows me to sell MP3, PDFs, or even seen hardcopies or other objects over the site at a an affordable price. I can make ...

Sending Props to Seth Godin

On this Journey you have to sometimes adjust your trajectory. You sometimes end up on a dead end trail, because the Journey is about gaining the experience so that you can share what you know. At these times it is good to humble yourself and admit that you are lost. What I have found in life is  that when you let your ego go and ask the universe for help, something always appears. Sometimes it's a book, a map, gift, and if you are lucky  a person. During one of my lost moments, I happened to be on TED.com looking for videos. This is when I ran into Seth Godin's presentation entitled " The Tribes We Lead ". He presented answer to questions I had been wrestling with. I suggested that those on the Journey check the video out. Now I want to send props for a few major things I learned from @sethgodin: 1. I was not trying to build organizations, but Tribes. It was something I had being doing but did not know what to call it. By being introduced to this idea, I have cha...
