Let’s stop confusing digital hoarding with wisdom. You can read every pan-African classic, quote every proverb on command, and hold three degrees stamped by an outside system that doesn’t love your spirit—and still wake up broke, fearful, and spiritually bankrupt. Modern culture wants you to believe that gathering data makes you powerful. It doesn’t. Consuming books without applying them is just intellectual obesity. The Namibian proverb cuts straight to the bone: “Learning expands great souls.” Notice what it says. It doesn’t say learning expands your ego, your resume, or your social media clout. It expands your soul . And our knowledge-holders drop the law immediately after: “There is truly no expanding without centering.
