The Art of Adaptation: Unveiling the Wisdom of The Bat and The Weasels “It is wise to turn circumstances to good account.” — Aesop In the world of fables, we often find animals acting out the deepest parts of our humanity. These creatures, symbols of instinct and survival, carry lessons older than time itself. The Bat and The Weasels , retold from the mind of Aesop and reimagined through the lens of Gye-Nyame Journey, isn’t just a tale for children—it’s a guide for those grown folks who still seek mastery. When the World Has You Cornered Here’s the setup: A bat falls to the ground and is caught by a weasel. The weasel hates birds. So the bat, slick with the tongue, says, “I’m not a bird—I’m a mouse.” The weasel lets him go. Later, the same bat falls again. This time, a different weasel catches him. But this weasel hates mice. So what does the bat say? “I’m not a mouse—I’m a bird.” And he gets set free again. Now, you could say the bat was being dishonest. But hold on. Let’s go de...

Number 1

Interdependence/
Unity is the nature/
Life lived in oneness/

We will be going through the number system for the next few days. The Ha2ku's all rushed out of me during a meeting. I was amazed, but I decided to follow the spirit and work through the number system. I want to stress that we will be discussing ( I'm calling it a discussion because I'm expecting comments... hint hint...)the symbolic meaning behind the numbers. there is no way I can properly cover all of the meaning but I can can get the thought process working, and help on your Journey.
The number one is the first number in the system. Many people feel that it stands for independence. In the Gye-Nyame system we describe the number 1 as interdependence. This is the symbol for unity. When we look at the number one we are reminded of the unity of all things. This is the power that keeps the universe working as one.

The symbol that can be used to understand the number 1 is the tree. Tree like the one seems to stand on its own but when we look closer we notice that the tree is part of system. It can only reach toward the sky because its roots are in the earth. The roots in the earth are there because of the water that falls from the sky. The tree also acts as home to many smaller beings. In total the tree is the perfect symbol for the number one because when we look deep into the tree's existence we see a being that has an existence that is totally interdependent with it's environment.
When we look at how to use the number 1 in our lives we can step back and remember that we don't stand alone. We are interdependent beings and our existence is effected as well as affect everything around us. When looked at properly this gives us a lot of power as well as a lot of responsibility. What effect are you having on those people and things around you? Remember you exist in a interdependent  web are you carrying your weight?
Feel free to leave comments and ideas. I didn't want to write to much but I would love some insight into the number system, and the symbolic power they hold. in the next few blogs i will cover the rest of the numbers briefly. I will not go  in depth saving that for discussion and another book. It is important to know that all numbers have elements, and other qualities that can be discussed that will help an individual understand them and use them in the journey to SelfMastery.
For more info about beginning your Journey to SelfMastery check out my book Player's Pyramid (click giant link and check it out). I will be posting a few chapters of the book soon, but support the Journey by purchasing a copy for yourself.
