It's been less than a minute
and the world has changed.
Thoughts are rearranged
as true leadership arrives.
He's compared to Lincoln,
reminds me of Martin,
reminds me of Malcolm.
He looks like Jesus,
sounds like Ghandi and
walks like Moses.
He defeats the hatred of those
that cannot see.....
a son of God.
Those that despise with
closed hearts and closed eyes,
brainwashed and denied,
ignorant and unaware.
Your hatred is cancer
for the color of men.
This hatred only mirrors
self-hatred within.
You despise your future and deny yourself?
Denying your generations the glory of growth,
the beauty of Love and the liberty
of life through change?
My life is older than three decades
yet younger than four
and I have been an american
for less than a minute,
in love with America for just a minute,
finally at home this very minute.
