Whose Story Are You In?

Whose Story Are You In? https://www.spreaker.com/episode/sovereign-soul--71852579 We talk a lot about building—building businesses, building families, building legacies. But have you ever stopped to ask if the "nest" you’re building actually belongs to you? In the week of Ujamaa , we often jump straight to the "cooperation" part, but today’s principle of Kujichagulia (Self-Determination) forces a difficult question: Can you truly cooperate with the Tribe if you haven't yet defined who you are as an individual? The tension is real. We are taught to fit in, to be "good employees," and to follow traditions that might be "magic birds" designed to keep us stuck in the past. Simba/Simsa Fundraiser

Dear Friend  and Family:

We are in the final days of our fundraiser. For those who don’t know, we are raising funds to take our young people to Simsa/Simba camp goto http://www.rescuereleaserestore.org/
Follow the link and get more info about the camping experience and the organization. This year we set a goal to be able to take 30 boys and 10 girls to Simba/Simsa camps. The cost for each youth is $350 including camp, transportation to Dixon, Illinois, and the annual reunion in February.
With all the work we have found ourselves $1300 short. To make up the the shortfall we will be having a fish fry from 6-9pm on Friday 6-19-15 @ The Millennium Community School of 3500 Refugee road, columbus, Oh 43232. Each plate will be $10 dollars and we will also be selling pop. Come out to support and have a good time with us. If you can’t make it you can still support us by going to https://www.crowdrise.com/simbacol/fundraiser/Ha2tim
and donate. Remember that “your small change can make a large change in the community”. Every little bit can help. All money goes directly to the Umbrella organization called Rescue, Release, and Restore. Please do what you can.
