3 levels of learning

Image
Levels of learning/ There are three within our tribe/ Memory,mind,heart/ In the Gye-Nyame Tribe we focus on 3 levels of learning. The idea is that if we can explain the process of learning, at least the way we see it, this will make it easier for those involved to not only learn the information they need for our Tribe, but it will make life long learning a lot easier. These levels of learning were stumble upon by watching the growth of many organizations and individuals over 20 year period. The first level memorization is the building block for the next 2 levels. This is where we take in new information and become familiar enough with it to answer basic questions. The goal is to learn the information verbatim. We also use a scribing method to help with this part of the process. I have personally witness this simple method boost the confidence and information level of people in my Tribe, and in the many other organizations that proceeded it. After the information has been dig

Tribal quote - slight change in format and instructions on how to use them

From know on I will post one proverb per day. I have to change the study model for a little while so that I can keep up with my different group. For those who have been following the Journey the proces is the same, but for those that are new and want to develope your mind and spirit with those of us on Gye-Nyame journey here you go: Step 1 : read the proverb, for those moving to a new level in your life or Gye-Nyame Tribe, Scribe the proverb (this simple means get you a journal and write the proverb word for word. Perserverance-Ha2ku

Image
Image via Wikipedia I will perservere/ Step by step until I get/ What it is I want/ My son had a skating party with his school. He had only been skating once in his life. As I put on his skates it did not occur to him that he could not skate. He jumped up on the skates an immediately hit the ground. He then got back up caught his balance and tried again, but the second time he pushed the envelope. He decided that he wanted to go on the floor with the other skaters. At this time my fatherly instinct kicked in and I grabbed him and told him to practice on the carpet. He fell down 19 more times got up and moved toward the floor. He got onto the skating deck and fell down some more. He went to the middle of the floor and kept falling never giving up. He continued to fall down and get back up. I looked on in amazement. He did not care that people was watching him, and some may have been laughing. The only thing that his mind was on was learning to skate. As I was watching this proc

Where you see Sh#t, I see fertilizer

Image
This is video that I made loosely based on an experience that I had on a farm. Please dont be offended by the title. Listen to lesson because this a story about finding oppourtunity in everyday situation. I am a firm believer in the statement "if you change your mind the world will also change", i will take it one step farther and say I know that it is true. My personal experience has taught this to me and i take great pleasure in sharing the lessons life has presented me with. I apologize for the quality of the video, but i wanted to get the message out, but my tribe is getting things together so that we can improve picture quality and sound. So feel free to laugh through because the video reminds me of a badly dubbed kung fu flick, but i have always loved kung fu flicks anyway and I hope you love this. Gye-Nyame Steaming Journey

Image
This a lunch I put together in my steamer. Actually it took me longer to post this, than it did to make the meal. It is simply some fresh eggplant, zuccini (which was given to me by a parent, grown in her garden) onion, garlic, radish, bell peper, and carrot. Later I will add a little spicey tomatoe sauce, and eat in less than 20 minutes. Try it out or share some of your steamed meals for me to try.

"Why the children" Ha2ku by ha2tim

Image via Wikipedia Why destroy children/ Crush young minds in the machine/ No revolution/ Haku by ha2tim This blog i will use one of my poems to explain my thoughts behind this Ha2ku. I have to mention that my youngest boy is at school age and I have been struggling with the fact that I have to enroll him in school. I want him to learn and I want him to have social interaction, but have to continually ask my self is it worth the price. I struggle with the fact that I have not developed a mechanism by this time to fit my sons needs, so now for Brother ha2tim it is back to work. Building the necessary institution to support family , communities and nations. So since i dont have a school for my son I will have to at least build or find a supplemental network so my son will get plugged into true education (pulling the knowledge from him). Why do they want our children we are told to educate and to socialize but the truth is they are being programed for our demise this shouldn&#
