The Wolves and the Sheepdogs

Image
This fable is an important one that we need to really look in depth at. This fable brings up the idea at least for me of who to trust, slick talkers, and the subtle differences between people. Many of us have been confronted by at least one of these issues in our lifetime, and if not, you soon will. Aesop had a way of putting stories together that was simple but gave a profound lesson to those willing to read and learn. Lesson 1: Who to trust - how many times have each of us been faced with a crisis of trust. Who can and who should I trust is , I believe a common struggle. Learning to tell who is trustworthy is one of the most important skills that we will ever be faced with. Slick Talkers-  Beware the the silk tongued devils, they have a way of weaving webs of deception that can send you down the road of destruction. Subtle Differences-  Be aware of those small differences that separate you from others. Differences that we may ignore can cause us many issues, some of which may

Coming Soon- Live discussion about "The African Openings To The Tree Of Life"

Image
All good things must come to an end, but the end can also be a new beginning. That is what it looks like for Gye-Nyame Journey's show Tribal Quotes. We started the show and with over 90 episodes we have looked at some universal wisdom that has helped everyone that has tuned. The wisdom will stay universal, but we will be specifically looking into the wisdom of Africa. We will be pulling verses from one of my favorite books, "The African Opening To The Tree Of Life". This book alone is a life changing tour de force, but having a discussion about the book as we move through each of the proverbs will definitely change those that take the time to tune in once a week. The Show will still be called Tribal Quotes  (to catch the podcast), but to catch it live still come to gyenyamejourney.com . The show will still air Wednesdays at 9pm est, and finally the call in number will still be 614-556-4535. Just

Richard Nixon's 'War on Drugs' was government-sanctioned terror on Black people - Indianapolis Recorder Newspaper: Home

Image
My elders told me this in the early 90's. It has become a fact because one of the parties involved spoke up, but the evidence has always been there. Now the issue that bothers me is that America treats Black folks as if we have had every chance to make a better life for ourselves. The War On Drugs (WOD) started in 1970, taking up from  where Jim Crow left off, which had took up from where slavery left off. The fact is that Black Folks have been under attack since we have set foot on this land. Many of the complaints that I hear coming from the other members of the U.S., and even from other Black folks seems to leave these factors out when we they diagnose our ailments. The fact is that we have been used and left behind in the world wide race. We may need to now step back and look at some new ways to win, because trying to catch up in the traditional fashion is not going to work. Those that know me you best believe that Mr. Richard (tha dick) nixon is going to get the siren of f

Here is a video that we found searching the public domain. I will be posting many more videos like this and using them in the Warrior training to demonstrate the power of symbolism and media. Feel free to join in on our discussions as well as post on this blog, my spreaker station, but more importantly follow this link back to my YouTube Station and push that subscribe button. I will also doing some personal shows on the series of cartoons and movies that I will be posting. The Idea is to hold discussion about these old videos, their effects, and how they may be playing a factor in our Areas today.

Where Is Your Seriousness

Image
"No one will or should take your stuff more serious than you!" This idea is one of the Gye-Nyame Journey's keys to success. When we "hone in"on our purpose we develop a seriousness that becomes contagious. Everyone around us catches the seriousness in which we carry our ideas, projects, property, goals, and etc.. Either they joins us in that view or disappear from our lives. Many of us are not willing to get serious enough to chase the fake people out of our lives. This is why many people remain stuck where they are. Fake people weigh you down and prevent you from climbing to the top. In fact they help you come up with excuses that you use to justify why you are stuck, and also gives you permission not to be "so uptight". You begin to believe that you can make it to the top without being serious. You learn to be cool, and in fact nothing seems to get you excited, you lack a sense of urgency. Your serious demeanor has been replaced with a cool exterior,

Next Level NationBuilding

Image
Many people are probably wondering what does selling energy have to do with NationBuilding? After many years of trying "to make a dollar out of 15 cent", I have personally come to the conclusion that any activities that claim to be about NationBuilding must have at their core an economic life. Selling energy provides an economic life for Gye-Nyame. We started gathering some of our family and friends, introducing them to Ambit and money has begun to flow to us in away we never expected. By bringing value to others, by saving them money on their electricity bill we have created a stream of income that is flowing into our tribe. In order for a Nation to exist there must be an economic life. This economic life must flow regularly. Economics is the life blood of a people, if you stop the flow of economics you destroy the people. By plugging Gye-Nyame Journey into utilities (electricity for now) we establish a flow of resources to our tribe that can be used to provide money for al

Image
We are moving forward here at Gye-Nyame Journey. Those that have been following the Podcast have noticed that I have recently started using Google Hangouts, to give listeners an opportunity to join the live show. After the show is completed, it is downloaded to spreaker. I recently was introduced to the Uberconference app, and will begin to use it in two ways. With  uberconference I will begin doing pre-recorded podcast with my dedicated audience. Of course I will continue posting up information about the shows, and re-broadcasting most of them. Some shows I will use for the Gye-Nyame Warrior Training Course that I will be releasing soon. The other way I will use uberconference is by focusing it on you. Simba/Simsa Fundraiser

Dear Friend  and Family: We are in the final days of our fundraiser. For those who don’t know, we are raising funds to take our young people to Simsa/Simba camp goto http://www.rescuereleaserestore.org/ Follow the link and get more info about the camping experience and the organization. This year we set a goal to be able to take 30 boys and 10 girls to Simba/Simsa camps. The cost for each youth is $350 including camp, transportation to Dixon, Illinois, and the annual reunion in February. With all the work we have found ourselves $1300 short. To make up the the shortfall we will be having a fish fry from 6-9pm on Friday 6-19-15 @ The Millennium Community School of 3500 Refugee road, columbus, Oh 43232. Each plate will be $10 dollars and we will also be selling pop. Come out to support and have a good time with us. If you can’t make it you can still support us by going to https://www.crowdrise.com/simbacol/fundraiser/Ha2tim and donate. Remember that “your small change can make

Gye-Nyame Journey Course

FreeStyle Friday- 6-12-15

This is freestyle, and I am wondering what will pop off my mind onto my tongue and out my mouth. Feel free to join the hangout, message me so that I can see the link so that you can join the conversation directly or feel free to message questions and comments. I will give you a shout out, and if you have something you want me to  let me know. I have to be honest I have been plagued by the image of a young man being shot from behind, and it being forgotten so that we can discuss what I consider "fuckery" in Texas. Remember #ausetwe need you, now more than ever. Asar has been cut to pieces and this young Herus are running around here like they have no sense. Hopefully we will wake up before we hit the designed end for us. Also religion has been plaguing me for a few hours today. I need to ask at some point how do we escape the mind and spirit traps that have been laid for our souls. But hey its freestyle and I will flow, and hopefully you will join me. I had problems with the
