Voices from the past/ speak to us from within heart/ echoes to future/ Spirit Writing This is an exercise that I have been experimting with over the years.  This helps with my meditation .  In fact it is form of meditation. I call it Spirit writng.  I just calm my mind, put a pen in my hand and begin writing.  I don't go back or erase. Actually this was about the third time I had this dream. She walked me through showing me all the work that needed to be done. I followed quietly, but as she was showing me the rooms that still needed work I shared with her the fact it was a house that I had my eye on for awhile. I described to her what I what I had planned to do with the gigantic old mansion. She listened and told me to come back tomorrow so that we could talk about the possibilities. I woke up from the dream and tried to remember where this house was in reality, and realized that I dreamed the house up. Which means that this old mansion that I had been pineing for over the last 15 years is not in the world it is in me. When they told us that this experience will change you on all levels they were not kidding. I don’t recognize my own body. I am learning large amounts of information, and have committed a large amount of money. They say during this process you suffer from a disease called the “ups”. When ever you mess up, forget something, late, or etc. you do “ups”, pushups, situps, pull-ups , chair ups, and a whole lot more ‘ups’ until you correct what’s wrong. We had to learn the basic information and apply it to memory. What they say they were trying to do was to get us to develop the “intelligence of the heart.” In the NB Club this is the highest form of intelligence as they see it. The process consist of memorization through reciting and scribing. Once we have the information memorized we begin to test it and apply it to our lives. It is that time of year once again  where we are reaching out to our family and friends to help us keep Simba moving. For those that don't know Simba/Simsa also known as Rescue, Release, and Restore is an organization that has helped hundreds of African- American young men and now ladies go to our summer camp . Their they are not only introduce to the woods, swimming, basketball, and all of the typical camping experiences. They are also introduced to a committed core of adults that interested in their growth, they become part of a family and a nationwide network, they are introduced to Africentric principles as well as other cultures, and for at least 10 days out of the year they are some place safe (Simba Land). Many of us may have been convinced that we were born in sin, and that is the end of the story. When we look at the view of sin that is spoken of in the Ha2ku, we can't accept it. It is comfortable for many to be a sinner, infidel, heathen, or whatever term is used today. When we accept this views of ourselves they give us something to blame. We don't have to take immediate responsibility for what we do, because we was just following our nature, or we can hand over the blame to some outside force that has control over us like a demon or devil. Gears are seperate parts of a machine that work together to get work done. Have you identified the gears of your life? If not, you should. Take time to identify those driving forces in your life so that you can evaluate if they are helping you reach your purpose. This is a good step for those on this journey, because the worst thing that can happen is that you begin your journey only to find that you are going the wrong way. Believe it or not this is a common event. I was so embarrassed being that it seemed that I had failed myself, my Tribe, and my master. I have noticed that people need to get their emotions involved in order to make necessary changes in their life. Intellectually we can present idea after idea, but if we never touch the emotions all we are doing is intellectually masturbating. Moving from pillar to post, but in all your motion going no where. We are surrounded by so called hustlers, people who are in motion building monuments to nothingness. Not realizing  the true definition of hustler. To be a hustler  we have to not only be in motion, but we have to be moving toward a goal.  Hustlers have to be moving better and faster than our competition. As we travel on this Journey we have take time to lay out our goals. We have to figure out who is our competition, and we have to continually move toward improving what we do. One of the major things we have to be willing to do is find ourselves a model to learn from.
